Dear Parents: January 2nd, 2018
I want to take this opportunity to wish all our families a happy and healthy new year. I hope your holiday was relaxing and filled with joy.
Additionally, I wanted to remind parents it's important for students to arrive to school on time. To provide your children with a positive start to the day, please plan your morning so your child arrives to school no later than 8:10 am. In addition to morning routines, we ask our families to be mindful of early dismissal habits as well. Although there are times when an occassional early dismissal is necessary, they should be minimal as this loss of instructional time can affect a student's performance.
At this point in our academic year, all Kindergarten and First Grade students will be assessed in the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA). Teachers use the data collected from these assessments to provide additional needed academic support and interventions for students. Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to know how your child is performing on this assessment and in other subject areas.
Please note, all Bound Brook Schools will be closed January 15th. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime.
Mr. Aldo Russo, Principal
