Bound Brook Elementary School educates approximately 1000 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from sixteen countries. These countries include the United States of America, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Columbia, Ghana, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Egypt, El Salvador, Jamaica, Russia, India, Honduras, and Venezuela. The elementary schools are housed in four separate facilities - LaMonte, LaMonte Annex, Lafayette and Smalley. Grades pre-kindergarten and kindergarten are housed in LaMonte. Grades pre-kindergarten, first and second grade are housed in LaMonte Annex. Grades three, four and five are housed in Lafayette. Grades six, seven and eighth are housed at Smalley.
The academic environment at Bound Brook Elementary School is firmly based on the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards. The National Middle School Association, Kean University, and the Hope Foundation has partnered with the Bound Brook School District to assist our staff in the development of a high performing school. Bound Brook Elementary School is proud to have a staff that is dedicated, innovative, experienced and passionate when it comes to educating our students.
Our school believes in educating students to achieve academic standards, think globally and to be productive members of society. To help achieve those goals, Bound Brook Elementary School has implemented a Character Education Program, which focuses on the social and emotional development of each student and a Positive Behavior Support Program that encourages and rewards students for demonstrating exemplary academic and social behaviors as well as making moral decisions.
